US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julia Chan to leave! 30 senior diplomats from 29 countries, including Sri Lanka

The Trump administration has decided to recall nearly 30 US ambassadors and senior diplomats from several countries, including US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julia Chan.
It is reported that this action has been taken as a step to implement US diplomatic policies with those who fully support US President Donald Trump’s policies.
Accordingly, it is also stated that an official notification was sent to US ambassadors and senior diplomats from 29 countries, including Sri Lanka, last week, whose terms end in January.
Foreign media reports that all of these diplomats were appointed by the administration of former President Joe Biden, but they had been given the opportunity to work in those positions until now.
The Trump administration has thus summoned US ambassadors and diplomats from 13 African countries, 6 Asian countries, 4 European countries, 2 Middle Eastern countries, and 2 South and Central Asian countries.
In a statement in this regard, the US State Department has stated that such changes are a standard process in any administration.

An ambassador is considered a personal representative of the president or prime minister of a country, and the US State Department has pointed out that it is the right of a head of state to assign people who advance their policies to those countries.
However, the US Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Julia Chan, has been accused of acting beyond the scope of her duties.
