The dates for the 2026 World Continental Tour Gold Level events have been announced. Kalinga Kumarage, Rumesh Tharanga and Pradeep Somasiri are currently scheduled to participate in two events this year.

The Maurie Plant Meet in Melbourne, Australia on March 27th and 28th will be the first World Continental Gold Level event of the year.  Kalinga Kumara will represent Sri Lanka in the 400m, Pradeep Somasiri in the 1500m In the T46 category of the Para event. 

After that, Rumesh Tharanga, who is currently among the top ten in the world rankings, is scheduled to participate in the javelin throw event for the second competitions of the 2026 Gold Level category of the World Continental Tour to be held in Nairobi, Kenya on April 24. 

It is a special feature that the players who are at the top of the world rankings will participate in the Gold Level category of the World Continental Tour. Several competitions  related to the year 2026 will be held in various countries this year  Currently, Sri Lankan athletes who are among the talents of the national teams are also eligible to participate in these competitions by application and invitation.
