Russia has reportedly launched another drone and ballistic missile strike on the Ukrainian capital, Kiev.
The attack comes as the Ukrainian and US presidents are set to hold talks today (28).
Two people have been killed in the Russian attack, foreign media reported. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the renewed attacks on his country’s capital, Kiev, show that Russia does not want peace.
The Ukrainian president made the remarks as US President Donald Trump heads to Florida for new talks aimed at ending the war in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian president is expected to discuss with President Trump a new 20-point peace plan agreed upon by US and Ukrainian representatives to end the war in Ukraine.
In such a context, Ukrainian President Zelensky has accused Russia of carrying out drone and ballistic missile attacks on his country’s capital for 10 hours. The new Russian attack has also injured 32 people, according to the country’s development minister.

The attack has caused severe damage to Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, the country’s development minister said.
He also noted that about 40% of residential buildings in the capital Kiev and its surrounding areas have been cut off by electricity, and residents are suffering greatly due to the cold weather.
