Industrial enterprises with annual revenue of more than 20 million yuan recorded a combined profit of 7.3982 trillion yuan in 2025, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China.
That was an increase of 0.6% over the previous year. Among them, state-owned enterprises achieved a total profit of 2 trillion yuan in 2025, a decrease of 3.9% over the previous year.
The total profit achieved by joint-stock enterprises was 5.5 trillion yuan, a decrease of 0.1%.
Foreign-invested enterprises and enterprises invested by Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan in China achieved a total profit of 1.7 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.2%. Private enterprises also achieved a total profit of 2.2 trillion yuan in 2025. It is reported that it was at the same level as in 2024.
