
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei did a great job in building a society based on knowledge, moral values, ethics and spirituality, said Dr Ali Kebriayi Saadeh, Cultural Advisor to the Iranian Cultural Center in Sri Lanka.
He said this while participating in a ceremony held at the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Colombo yesterday (10) to commemorate the martyred leader of the Ummah, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei (Quddisa Sirru).
Addressing a group of academic staff members of the KJM International School, Colombo, Dr Ali Kebriayi Saadeh also said:
True human excellence can be achieved through knowledge, harmony and a strong moral character. Schools and universities are essential in the pursuit of wisdom, enlightenment and personal growth. Education, moral values and spiritual awareness can nurture individuals who contribute positively to society, he added.
Speaking on behalf of KJM International College, Principal Sameeha Haladeen also said:
We express our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. His life and legacy represent an important chapter in contemporary history. His character and dedication to spiritual values, knowledge, morality and service to society are evident. We believe that his teachings and contributions will inspire future generations.
Representatives from KJM International School who attended the event expressed deep respect for the enduring legacy of Ayatollah Khamenei and understood the importance of preserving the values of faith, knowledge, sacrifice and moral leadership that he defended throughout his life.
They pointed out that organizing such commemorative gatherings strengthens mutual understanding between the people of Sri Lanka and Iran, and strengthens the bonds of friendship and cultural dialogue.
