The philosophy preached by Gautama Buddha has become a world reality today – says the Director of the Iranian Cultural Center

The Buddhist people of the world are celebrating Vesak Day today (30) on the basis of the birth, enlightenment and passing away of Gautama Buddha, and this will pave the way for the proper development of compassion, mercy and wisdom in human society, said Dr. Ali Kebriai Saadeh, Director of the Cultural Center of the Iranian Embassy in Sri Lanka.

He made this statement while issuing a message on the occasion of International Vesak Day.
The message also reads as follows.
The philosophy preached by Gautama Buddha has become a world reality today. It is a philosophy that is being felt practically in our lives. In particular, the message of Buddhism is to show that the suffering that a person faces, and the responsibility (attachment) of the person to it, and the ability of the person to get rid of that suffering, or Nibbana, is a practical realization, and the process to be followed for that.
The teachings of Gautama Buddha state that the continuous cycle of birth and death is very painful. The Buddha has clearly explained that one should enter into a method that will stop this existence without delay. The Buddha, who does not stop by warning in this way, shows that the cause of this cycle of birth and death, and that by eliminating that cause, the journey of existence can be stopped. The process for stopping this is presented in a perfect and philosophical manner, which is the basic essence of Buddhism. Dr. Ali Kebriayi Sade stated that if we act with understanding of that background, our minds will develop and we will be able to reach peace, happiness, and prosperity.
