Russia launches series of Oreshnik missiles into Ukraine

Russia launched several massive Oreshnik ballistic missiles into Ukraine on Thursday (08), a Cyber World Press special correspondent in Moscow reports.
The attacks took place on Thursday night, killing four people and injuring 25 others in the city of Kiev, foreign media reported.
The sounds of the attacks were heard for several hours and the sky was lit up with explosions.
The Oreshnik missile, which was first deployed to attack the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro in November 2024, was used again by Russia, a Cyber World Press special correspondent reports.

The Russian Defense Ministry said the strike was in response to a Ukrainian drone strike targeting President Vladimir Putin’s residence in late December. However, Ukraine denied the incident a few days later, saying there had been no such attack on the Russian president’s residence.
