Foreign media are reporting that the Thai-Cambodian border is currently in a state of heightened tension. The fighting, which began a week ago when a Thai soldier was killed by Cambodian troops near the border, has escalated on the 13th, and the Cambodian government has announced that it will close all border crossings between the two countries, according to foreign media.

Although US President Donald Trump, who held a telephone conversation with the leaders of the two countries last week, announced that the border fighting had ended, the Thai military announced on the day before yesterday (14) that it had launched an offensive to regain territory belonging to its state. Thailand is using heavy weapons such as tanks and artillery in the fighting, and foreign media reports that thousands of people from both countries who lived near the border have fled to safer places.
