Jakarta office building fire kills 22

A fire in an office building in the Indonesian capital Jakarta has killed 22 people, foreign media reports.
The fire broke out in the seven-story office building during lunch break on Monday (9), city police chief Susatyo Kondro said.
The police chief has also reportedly stated that a drone manufacturing company is located on the ground floor of the building, and that the fire was caused by a battery explosion, which was revealed during the initial investigation.
Most of the people caught in the fire are women, and a pregnant woman is among them, according to foreign media.
The Jakarta police chief has stated that more people died from inhaling toxic smoke from the fire than from burns. More than 100 firefighters have been deployed to extinguish the fire, and operations were reportedly ongoing until last night (11) to rescue people trapped on the upper floors due to the spread of the fire and to identify the perpetrators.
